My Life -- What I'm doing

The Überman (Day 2)

The common phrase that I hear from people when I explain what I am doing is, “You’re crazy!”

While many people tell me I am crazy, there are a lot of people who think the idea of The Uberman is really cool. Who wouldn’t want an additional 6 hours a day to get things done? (What could you do with 91.25 “extra days” in a year?) The other portion of people that I talk to say that it doesn’t appeal to them. When I ask them what they would want to do with the extra time they could gain the response is, “sleep”.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do with all this extra time I will have. I have a lot of aspirations: read a book a day, write two books within the year, finish creating a mentoring/training company, make sure the house is immaculate each day, learn a new language etc.

The hardest part about the adjusting period is doing the unproductive stuff to keep awake. Watching netflix, playing video games, watching movies etc. seem to be the best way to keep awake during the hardest hours of the day (12 AM-5 AM). I keep reminding myself that once my body has adjusted I won’t need to do such time wasting tasks and can move on to what I really want to do.

Two things that I have noticed so far: some of the naps have been more difficult than others. So far, the 11:30 AM nap is extremely hard to do. My body just doesn’t seem to find it necessary to sleep during that time, but I attempt to fall asleep anyways. It is all about training my body, right? The other thing is that I don’t notice falling asleep anymore. One moment I will be thinking about things that are going on or kind of day dreaming and the next minute the alarm is going off. Sometimes I’m not sure if I fell asleep at all. It is quite the experience.

I feel slightly tired, but not too bad. I’m hoping my body will keep at this level and improve. All in all, it has been a good time. More to come tomorrow!

About Jaxon

I am a spiritual being here to have mortal experiences. I believe in love. Not the love that can be fit in three words: I love you, but in the love that radiates from a couple who cherish one another more than life itself. I believe in love as it has been intended to be: eternal. I believe in progress. Learning from life, love, books, people and inspiration should be a daily experience. There is something incredible about a person who strives to be their best self. I believe in pursuing dreams. Mortality only happens once and is too short to simply sit back and allow it to pass you by. Goals, dreams and those who join in the pursuit of those dreams are what live worth while. I believe in being happy! True happiness is not found. It is a choice. The moment life is seen as being beautiful and is deeply appreciated, the easier it is to choose to be happy. I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior, my King and my Friend. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and living His truth is key to my happiness and existence.
