Emotion

Emotion is a funny thing…

As humans there are four stages to self: Physical, Emotional, Mental And Spiritual. Each of these stages, in a perfect world, is governed by the higher stage. Our physical self is governed by our emotions, our emotions by our thoughts and our thoughts by our spirit.

Unfortunately we tend to let lower stages of our self decide what the rest of us is going to be. If we sprain our ankle we suddenly are sad or depressed. If we go through a break up or emotional tragedy suddenly all our thoughts are focused on that event. We allow our thoughts to convince us that there is no higher power and deny our spirituality. This is not the way our Heavenly Father designed us. We are Spiritual Beings here to have mortal experiences, not the other way around.

Life is full of ups and downs, a proverbial roller coaster of emotion, but that does not mean that we have to be governed. Frequently we are too passive in our efforts to guide, or be guided, in our day-to-day journey. What would happen if we took control? What if we actively sought the Divine? How would our lives be effected if we gave room for the royal with in us? Where would our thoughts, emotions be focused? Would the physical world around us be altered because our striving to live more spiritually?

“If healing is possible, but you don’t believe it can happen, then you don’t really want it to happen. There is something you want more than healing.”
“What would I want more than healing?”
“Unhappiness. Pain. Despair.”
“Thats absurd!”
“Is it?”
“Why would I want to be unhappy, in pain or despairing?”
“Good question. Why do you?”
“I don’t!”
“Then why are you?”

About Jaxon

I am a spiritual being here to have mortal experiences. I believe in love. Not the love that can be fit in three words: I love you, but in the love that radiates from a couple who cherish one another more than life itself. I believe in love as it has been intended to be: eternal. I believe in progress. Learning from life, love, books, people and inspiration should be a daily experience. There is something incredible about a person who strives to be their best self. I believe in pursuing dreams. Mortality only happens once and is too short to simply sit back and allow it to pass you by. Goals, dreams and those who join in the pursuit of those dreams are what live worth while. I believe in being happy! True happiness is not found. It is a choice. The moment life is seen as being beautiful and is deeply appreciated, the easier it is to choose to be happy. I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior, my King and my Friend. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and living His truth is key to my happiness and existence.
